KUALA LUMPUR, 5th SEPTEMBER 2023NASDAQ-bound Graphjet Technology Sdn Bhd (“Graphjet Technology” or “Group”) (NASDAQ:GTI), the world’s leading graphite and single-layer graphene producer, has been meticulously chosen as one of the distinguished champions of the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (“NIMP 2030”).

In a remarkable endorsement under the NIMP 2030, which was launched by Malaysia’s Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (“MITI”) has officially recognised Graphjet Technology as the Champion for MBP1.4: Groom champions in 4 game changing advanced materials.

This recognition is further cemented with the issuance of a certificate of acknowledgement to Graphjet Technology, reinforcing its status as a mission-based project champion under the NIMP 2030 framework.

During the launch of the NIMP 2030, Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said in his speech, “The Government is fully committed to support the implementation of the NIMP 2030. It will require an estimated total investment of RM95 billion through its seven years, predominantly from the private sector mobilised from private equity, capital and financial markets. Close to 10% will be allocated by the Government to help catalyse and incentivise these investments via the NIMP Industrial Development Fund and the NIMP Strategic Co-investment Fund.”
